Position: Composites Project Engineer (Engineer IV)
POSITION SUMMARY
Primary responsibility is to design and document composite structures. Provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development, and implementation of technical products and systems. Resolves highly complex technical issues and conducts advanced research. Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. |
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop preliminary design and final laminate schedules.
- Develop material database and all certification documentation relating to composite structures.
- Develop products and processes utilizing best practices and project management methodologies.
- Develop, teach, and champion design engineering procedures, tools, and techniques.
- Participate in design engineering reviews of project tasks.
- Coach to ensure informed decisions are made concerning technical content of projects.
- Remain up-to-date on best practices and recommend new approaches/tools.
- Interface with customers to determine and validate requirements.
- Develop quotations for development, prototyping, tooling, and production.
- Remain up-to-date on best practices and recommend new approaches/tools.
- Take ownership of product development from conception through production.
- Provide requisite technical expertise.
- Actively seek update knowledge of the engineering profession, the industry, and application of new technologies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree from a ABET accredited engineering program.
- At least 5 years of product engineering experience.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Project management experience is required.
- In depth understanding of full life cycle product development including preliminary design, prototype development, analysis, testing and various manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in the use of SolidWorks and solid understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing requirements.
- Proficient in the application of ANSI Drawing Standards.
- Experience in an ISO culture is desired.
- Awareness of quality policies and location of quality manuals.

Position:
Commercial Sales Rep.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Commercial Sales Rep. will be responsible for sales activities for house accounts as well as proprietary product lines as required. Carry out successful sales and marketing strategies based on company sales objectives. Must be able to work in a high energy, entrepreneurial environment. |
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conducts market research and prospects to obtain new customers.
- Manage existing pillar accounts as well as implementing plans that promote new business growth
- Research marketing and trade show opportunities that give Amtech the best ROI
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Provide insight on product enhancements/changes to engineering dept
- Provide accurate quarterly forecasts to purchasing and production departments.
- Provide accurate quarterly forecasts to senior management team
- Travel to visit high profile accounts and dealers
- Effectively communicate with all other departments and Senior Management Team.
- Understand and have real time knowledge of margins and their impact to bottom line
- Develop partnership relationship with customers that lead to account retention and growth
- Develop and meet sales and budget forecasts

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Four year college degree or equivalent market experience.
- Proven sales and marketing track record.
- Marketing Degree a plus

- Computer literate with sales and marketing software and applications. (ACT, MS-Word, Excel, Power Point)

Position: Senior Buyer in Purchasing
POSITION SUMMARY
With minimal supervision, will be responsible for supporting the Purchasing / Materials department with internal plant customer service, purchase order entry, supplier interface, accurate data entry and maintenance in MRP system, with the goal of maintaining material inventory levels to JIT. |
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide support to Purchasing Supervisor and act as total back-up to the Supervisor position in their absence.
- Interpret, problem solve, organize and initiate the internal purchase requisition process.
- Create purchase orders for routine raw material, machinery, equipment, tools, parts, services, and/or supplies from vendors.
- Initiate accurate and efficient order entry and placement with suppliers for materials.
- Follow up on orders to ensure timely deliveries, accurate pricing, etc.
- Assist warehouse staff in maintaining JIT inventory levels.
- Expedite orders as necessary while maintaining cost effectiveness.
- Assist in obtaining competitive bids for supplies and materials.
- Maintain records pertaining to: items purchased, costs, delivery, defects, and inventory.
- Maintain professional and courteous supplier interface.
- Maintain all other departmental paperwork with accuracy and efficiency.
- Make accurate and timely data entry into MRP system to support overall functionality on the MRP/ERP system.
- Through use of MRP, visual inventory analysis and other methods, ensure the ready supply of materials at appropriate levels and in a timely manner to prevent stock outs.
- Assist in monitoring of vendor performance and recommend necessary actions to improve performance, if needed
- Assist in monthly chemical inventory.
- Assist in obtaining C of C’s, MSDS, and other materials documentation as required per shipments.
- Attend appropriate meetings as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school completion.
- Bachelors degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum 5 years experience in purchasing.
- Experience in manufacturing environment.
- Experience in MRP/ERP, inventory control preferred.

- Basic knowledge of inbound and outbound freight procedures.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing, quality, materials, inventory, maintenance requirements and environment.

- Ability to tolerate safe levels of dust, noise and chemical smells.

- Majority of work time is spent in office environment.
- Some exposure to open manufacturing plant, involving Fiberglass, plastics, assembly.
- Some exposure to manufacturing dust, equipment noise, consistent forklift travel.
