LAVTEC Solutions started in 1987 as a unique design concept for the marine and shipping industry. Our first product was a seamless fiberglass restroom (head) for the Alaska State Ferry system. Recognizing the advantages of composites for marine restrooms, Amtech developed a line of industrial style merchant marine heads which were used in oil tankers and cargo ships.

Our original LAVTEC systems were, and remain, simplistic in design, completely sealed for ease of cleaning, and are delivered completely ready to “drop in” with only plumbing and electrical connection required to bring it on line. Our marine line of products quickly expanded to include deluxe cruise ship restrooms, which are furnished complete with top of line appointments such as granite countertops and deluxe tile work.

The LAVTEC Solutions’ product line steadily grew to include outdoor applications such as restrooms for golf courses, parks, and camping sites. Due to the robust weather resistance of composites, many of our earliest outdoor restrooms are still in operation today.

LAVTEC Solutions has continued to develop new products, and entered the construction industry in early 1990 with an assisted living bathroom program. On November 9, 1993, Amtech was awarded a patent for unique design concepts. As with our other product lines, we continue to further develop this unique line of bathroom systems.
